One of the 5 people who came to Aydın camp in Bursa due to the curfew, catastrophically lost her life falling from the 50-meter cliffs.
According to the information obtained, 5 friends came from Aydın to camp in Kırıntı district, Menekşe district of İznik district of Bursa. Ramazan Elçin (64), one of the five friends, escaped the 50-meter cliffs last night around 1 a.m. The panic of his friends informed the gendarmerie. A large number of search and rescue services from the gendarmerie, AFAD and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Rescue teams from Kocaeli came to the scene for reinforcements. As the region is rocky and wooded, search and rescue teams, walking for miles, reached the lifeless body of Ramazan Elçin this morning. While Elçin’s corpse was transported to the morgue at Iznik State Hospital, the other 4 friends were also prosecuted for not respecting the curfew.
A few months ago in the same area, 8 campers found themselves stranded due to heavy snowfall and were found after 9 hours of work. The gendarmerie opened an investigation into the incident.
