A fire broke out at the Mutluken District Private Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center in Çankaya at around 1:00 p.m. for unknown reasons. Employees who noticed the flames evacuated the health center where 45 people were staying.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Crews quickly brought the blaze under control and extinguished it. No one was injured as a result of the fire. Residents of the nursing homes were transferred to other elderly care centers after undergoing a health check in hospital as a precaution.
The statement made by the Department of Family and Social Services regarding the fire was as follows:
“A fire started around 1:15 pm in a private retirement home and a care center for the elderly in Ankara. Thanks to the intervention of the firefighters, the fire was brought under control in a short time. the conditions of the employees of the establishment and the residents of the establishment are good. “45 of our seniors are receiving services. Our elderly will be temporarily transferred to other elderly care facilities after the completion of their hospital health checks for precautionary purposes. . An investigation has been opened into the cause of the fire.
