The lifeless body of 20-year-old Emirhan Henden, who asked his friends for halal when entering the river in Karasu district of Sakarya, was found 6 days later.
The incident took place on Saturday July 3 in the Sakarya River, which flows through Adatepe District of Karasu District. According to information received, Emirhan Henden, 20, wanted to use the boat to feed his animals in the pasture across the river. Seeing that his boat, which had capsized due to the weather conditions, was being dragged through the water, the young man entered the water to pull the rope of the boat. There were times when Henden asked his friends for permission before he started swimming in the water, and after swimming for a while he screamed in the water near the boat and disappeared from view.

In order to find Henden, intensive work was carried out on the river and at sea with all the installations, including 5 boats, 9 vehicles, 1 boat and 56 teams of experts. Emirhan’s lifeless body was found in Hürriyet Mahallesi, about 12 kilometers from Adatepe Mahallesi, around 4.30 a.m. by citizens who have been under rotating surveillance since the day of his disappearance. Henden’s lifeless body was recovered from the water by the Gendarmerie’s Underwater Search and Rescue (JAK) teams, who came to the area on the news. After an investigation by the prosecutor who attended the scene, the body of Emirhan Henden was taken to the morgue at Karasu State Hospital.
